Preparation for Licensure and Transition to Professional Practice

Preparation for Licensure and Transition to Professional Practice

Thinking about the testing process this year, I would say I ahve imrpoved in how to read questions and how to break them down to find the best possible answer/ narrow it down to two. This took a lot of practice and pacing myself reading each question, and taking more time to read thoroughly rather than skim. We were able to do the remediations on topics as well as remediate on specific question, which I beleve helped the most as…

ATI Comprehensive Predictor Practice B During this ATI exam, I was definitely getting distracted and tired as I attempted to complete it. It took me longer than usual to complete it. I did perform better score wise on this practice exam than the last one by a few points. It had some questions that have been similar to what we have seen all year, and some that were things I had not seen before and was stumped by. I appreciate…

ATI Adaptive Quiz- Pediatrics This adaptive quiz was long but a great review of information we need for pediatrics. There was a lot about the developmental milestones and different diseases we are currently learning. I did well on this as far as it being around my average I tend to get on these quizzes with the same amount of remediations each time. Pediatrics will definitely be an important topic to review again before the NCLEX. I spent an average amount…

Procotored Pharmacology ATI Exam This ATI Exam was difficult and did not go as I expected it to go. I was not 100% in the best mindset to take the exam and felt as though I could have performed better and gotten a much better grade. I wish I had dedicated more time to practicing before hand and looking over the remediations from the past few weeks. I looked at them briefly the night before, but it was not beneficial…

ATI Comprehensive Predictor Practice A Exam This ATI exam was one of the longer and more intense exams we have taken so far through ATI. I enjoyed the mix and types of questions asked as I felt I got a good variety of material. I also felt that I did well on it. There was a lot that I knew really well, and definitely some material I was not so sure about. This was one of my best grades yet…

During this ATI assessment, I was definitely struggling with a lot of the medication names as there were quite a few I did not know, as well as adverse effects that I did not know. This is difficult and frustrating as I am feeling nervous and defeated as we get closer to the NCLEX. I am fearful that I will not remember all of these medications and all of the odd adverse effects associated. I will need to study more….

ATI Maternal Newborn Adaptive Quiz The maternal newborn adaptive quiz went well. It was one of the most challenging ATI’s we have taken so far though. There was a good chunk of material that I did not know or would get mixed up due to things we learned differently in class, and this caused me to get some questions wrong. I went a little faster on this exam this time and m average answer time was around 36 seconds. I…

ATI Adaptive Quiz- Medical- Surgical This adaptive quiz was definitely a hard one as far as recalling some of the information and questions asked. I got the same score as I did on the Pharmacology Adaptive Quiz which surprised me, but I am hoping to do better next time and to improve my score, rather than staying in the same score placement. I was focused during this exam except for a few times where I fell distracted, and should have…

Pharmacology ATI – Adaptive Quiz and Remediation Reflection After completing this first ATI Adaptive Quiz of the semester, I feel as though it went well and was a lot of information I was able to recall and answer correctly on the quiz. It was eye opening showing me how many medications I do remeber and their side effects/ information that goes along with it. This is good to have some comfort moving forward knowing that there was a lot of…
